10K blog candy giveaway!

I'm so excited - my first blog candy!! I was so happy to get 10,000 hits this week that I decided to give away a little something to show my appreciation. Thanks to everyone who subscribes, follows, reads, comments, or just drops in once in a while - I've had a great time with my blog so far and I hope you're enjoying it, too.

Here's how it works: just leave a comment on this post telling me what inspires you when you're making your cards - especially when you are having a hard time getting started. I know we've all been there! One comment per person, please. Since I won't be posting all weekend I'll let this run for a few days. I'll use random.org to pick a winner on Wednesday, October 15, at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Now for what you've been waiting for... here's what I'm giving away!

  • new SU hostess set For a Friend
  • new SU regal rose ink pad
  • new SU hostess prints pack (the one from the last catalog with real red, pretty in pink, bashful blue, apricot appeal, and wild wasabi)
  • approx. 6 yds of ribbon: 2 yds (or so) each of rose pink (looks close to the regal rose), champagne, and black and tan stripe
  • alterable altoid-type tin with lots of embellishments: snowflake brads, Michael's dew drops, Michael's confetti flowers in white and ivory, crystal brads, and SU clips and ribbon slides from the retired copper Hodgepodge Hardware

I wanted to add a note about the dew drops - they are in the floral section at Michael's if you look for them. Not in the scrapbooking section. ;)

Good luck and thanks again for visiting my blog, whether you are a regular or this is your first visit! Have a great weekend!

Congratulations!!! I've just started my blog, so I'm no where near 10K... but looking forward to it someday. Now if I can just get consistent with my posting. :-D
And I didn't know that Michael's had dew drops. Guess where I'm off to today? :-)

Wow! Congrats! I get inspired by getting out and going for a walk. I can always look at things differently after I take a walk and have a real look at nature, even on a cold rainy day, I can find something to inspire me.

Hey, wow -- 10,000 hits! Congratulations on reaching such a cool milestone! Recently I've considered starting a blog, so I admire you for getting it done and reaching so many people!

Right now, my main inspiration is the SCS gallery!

When i need inspiration, my best resource is truly online. I check out blogs, items I've 'starred' SU website, splitcoast stampers, etc. I'll sketch a layout that I really like, and then I'm usually ready to go!

Congratulations on your hits!!
When I'm having a hard time getting going on a card, the best thing for my has been to find a sketch, which I usually check on Wed. on SCS.
Thank you for the opportunity to win such great blog candy!!

Got a link to your blog and enjoyed browsing through it :) Congrats on the hits and thanks for doing it. I just love surfing blogs and getting ideas. I've tried and tried to find the dew drops at Mike's...think they don't make it to Canada!

Anyway, what inspires me when I'm in a slump: love to go to some sketch challenges (keep them all on file for easy reference) and then check out the SC galleries for ideas. Also enjoy going into my Favorites on SCS to get ideas or CASE one if I'm having a particularly bad day. Blog surfing is another wonderful way to get inspiration and ideas as so many of you ladies have amazing cards. Thanks for the chance to win :) mritzen@shaw.ca

Congratulations on 10,000 hits! I love your challenge for today of using the Japanese plates. When I am trying to start a card, I like to look at sketches and cards in the SCS gallery. When I'm really stuck, I just randomly pull out a piece of cardstock or a certain tool and get busy finding a new way to use it!

Congrats on the 10,000 hits. But more importantly, you are enjoying yourself. Your blog candy looks yummy!

Congrats on 10000 hits! Thanks for the tip on where to find the dew drops :) I usually get inspired by the person I'm making the card for - I try to pick something from their personality to inspire the card. I also love to use DP and the color combos in it inspire me as well.

Congrats on your blog! It is blogs like yours that inspire me. I don't feel very creative and the blogs really give me a lot of inpiration. I also like to host and participate in swaps for ideas too. Thanks for your inspiration and chance for the blog candy.

I visit blogs for tutorials and instructions for cardmaking, scrapbooking and papercrafting. I've marked many of them as ideas I would like to create.

I always look for inspiration in blogs. It's great to have yours to read!!

Very generous candy! I suppose most inspiring to me are the blogs. I often have a hard time getting a card to the point I want. I lay it out and walk away, sometimes overnight, and when I come back to it, it seems to just fall into place.

Congrats on the 10K hits - that's awesome!!

When I'm in a stamping slump, I either blog hop or check out Splitcoast Stampers. I can usually find a card or project that inspires me to pull out the stamps and start creating.

Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy!

Congratulations on the hits! When I've lost my inspiration I try to find it back by looking at other people's work. I browse a lot of blogs. I also try to work on a challenge because then I have a sketch, colour scheme, etc. so I already know how to start with my card. Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies
