Birthday Bliss

I found time for a little stamping this morning - I wanted to do a couple challenges. The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try, and the colors come from the ColourQ challenge. This is my kind of color challenge - six colors! I didn't realize until I was all done that I used brocade blue instead of ballet blue... oops! Don't shoot me, LOL!

For the big circle I picked the cupcake from Party Hearty. The frosting and candle are popped up on the (of course) chocolate cupcake. I used Nestabilities for the white and kraft circles. The DPs are a mix of current and retired pattern prints, along with a strip from Island Oasis. The sentiment from Birthday Bliss has the center popped up, with a layer from the Lots of Tags dies. Finally I added my clip with a knot of ribbon and a button attached with glue dots. What do you think? It didn't come out quite as masculine as I was envisioning, but I'm OK with that!

No, we won't shoot you for using Brocade Blue...when I was first a demo, I got them mixed up all the time! This card is so cute anyway, we love it!
