Happy 4th

I have a triple-challenge card for you today, and it's my first-ever Fourth of July card. This week at Our Creative Corner, Linda wants us to do something to the corners of our cards. The layout comes from Taylor's latest sketch challenge. Finally, I'm entering this in Shelli Gardner's challenge to make something that sparkles. This just might be the sparkliest card I've ever made, LOL!

Knowing I was going for razzle-dazzle, I picked the July Fourth stamp set from the summer mini. All the images on my card come from that set. I stamped the fireworks onto pacific point cardstock, then I used heat and stick powder with dazzling diamonds glitter to make them sparkle. I did the same with the red punched star and the little stamped stars in the corner, using red galaxy glitter. I colored the sentiment with markers and then added more glitter with a glue pen. The large scallop border was made using 1" punched circles, then I added the real red panel stamped with firecrackers and embellished with rhinestone brads.

This was a fun card, and for even more fun, be sure to visit the OCC blog to see what the other super-talented DT members came up with. We can't wait to see what you do with your corners!

Whoohoo, Lori, this is definitely bright and sparkly! I really like how you left a lot of white showing - really makes the colors pop. Great job on the corner challenge this week!
