Christmas Bells

I made this card for the clean and simple challenge on SCS. This week it's a sketch challenge. I've been in a Christmas mood - and it's going to be time to send out Christmas cards soon enough, so I went with another holiday card. And what do you know, it also fits the Paper Players color challenge for the week!

I based the design around the Deck the Halls paper, choosing one of the printed holly designs for the bottom panel and stamping the sentiment, which is from the coordinating stamp set Bells & Boughs, in Early Espresso right onto the DP. The background is another one of the prints from that pack. I colored the bell image with Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake markers and a blender pen. To add dimension I cut the image out and mounted it onto a Nestabilities circle. I kept the embellishments simple with a strip of artichoke seam binding and three (retired) vintage brads.

That's it for this CAS Christmas card - have a wonderful day!

Lori, this is a fabulous card to showcase the DSP. I love the clean and simple lines. Yet, you have created so much interest that I keep on wanting to look at it. The layout is fabulous, too.
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week.
